Foundation A

The children in Foundation A are becoming adept at describing the things they are learning during maths. They have been able to explain that addition means joining groups of things together and that sharing requires everyone to have the same. The current topic is mass and this has been a bit tricky because ‘mass’ sounds a lot like ‘maths’. They are learning that when we measure mass we are finding out if something is heavy and light. It has been interesting to heft objects to see which one is heavier and then to check if our answers are correct using a balance scale.
